This reading and writing worksheet will challenge young readers to do a close reading of a nonfiction passage and then create their own questions and answers. First, students will read a short text on how fireworks were invented. Then, they will come up with three questions about the text and use text evidence to find the answers. This is a great resource to build knowledge of nonfiction comprehension in third graders.
