Synonyms and antonyms make language and writing more diverse and dynamic. Third graders begin to expand their vocabulary by discovering word similarities and their opposites. The Learning Library provides multitudes of lessons both online and as printable worksheets and workbooks, all of which were created by professional teachers.

An online exercise will workout 8-year-olds’ mental thesaurus as they answer multiple choice questions on synonyms and antonyms. The Vocabulary Expanders book focuses on developing learners’ lexicons with suffix lessons and how to determine unknown word meanings by using context clues.

Children will soon be walking dictionaries with the Learning Library’s large collection of worksheets. Kids can visualize vocabulary words by learning the Frayer Model of organization.
