Paper Binoculars

Preschool Arts & crafts Activities: Paper Binoculars

What You Need:

  • Toilet paper tubes
  • Tempera paint
  • Sting
  • Scissors

What You Do:

  1. Start by inviting your child to paint the toilet paper tubes their favorite colour. They can use one single colour or create a fun random design.
  2. While the paint is drying, brainstorm all the things your child will be able to see with their fun binoculars. They can create a list or make some drawings to remind them later.
  3. Now offer your child some string and invite them to cut a long length, about three feet in length.
  4. Encourage your child to wrap up the binoculars around the middle, working in a figure eight formation and connecting the tubes together to form the binoculars!

Your child can attach an additional length of string to use for a strap when using their finished binoculars!
