Just how does the Easter bunny know whose house to visit? Unlike with Santa Claus, kids don’t mail him letters, or leave him milk and cookies. These hanging carrots will help the Easter Bunny find your house and celebrate a brightly colored food that is a yummy treat for bunnies and kids alike.

Thank you for your input.
What You Need:
- 2 8 ½" x 11" sheets of orange construction paper
- 2 8 ½" x 11" sheets of green construction paper
- Scissors
- Transparent tape (optional: double-sided tape)
- Yellow ribbon
What You Do:
- Set a piece of orange construction paper so the 8 ½-inch side is facing your child.
- Help your child start a tiny cone at the lower right corner, making sure it comes to a good point.
- Assist your child in rolling the cone over the rest of the paper, creating a bigger and bigger cone.
- Secure the end with a piece of tape. Use double-sided tape underneath the paper if you want to conceal it.
- Fold over the top of the carrot and secure with a piece of tape.
- Have your child make a second carrot the same way. After you make and secure the second cone, your child can cut off part of the second carrot if he wants the carrots to look slightly different.
- Assist your child in cutting out three leaves for each carrot. Vary the length of the leaves to create a more natural effect.
- Help your child make diagonal cuts along the leaves to resemble a carrot’s frilly leaves.
- Assist your child in cutting two 12-inch pieces of ribbon.
- Securely tape a piece of ribbon inside each carrot.
- Tie the two carrot ribbons together and display.
Sometimes kids don’t know which rooms in the house the Easter Bunny has visited. Doors with these hanging carrots could show children which rooms have hidden goodies.
